The Vanino port is a transport hub linking together rail, sea and road routes.
The favorable geographical location of the port opens the closest access to the sea for cargoes coming from the West along the Baikal-Amur and Trans-Siberian railways.
The modern coal terminal VaninoTransUgol was built to handle high-quality coking coal mined in South Yakutia at the Denisovskiy and Inaglinskiy mining and processing complexes.
The terminal is equipped with high-tech coal handling equipment and equipment for dust suppression. This equipment is specially designed for VTU.
For unloading coal from wagons, storing it, loading it onto bulk carriers, a specialized conveyor complex is used for transhipment of goods.
Delivery of goods to the terminal is carried out by rail. The wagon unloading station is located on the territory of the port and can receive trains from 54 to 69 wagons. A shunting locomotive is used to move the train to the railway station. After unloading from open-top wagons, coal is transported through a conveyor system to a warehouse or to a berth for loading into the hold of a ship.
From the wagon unloading station, coal is conveyed by a conveyor to the first transfer station of the warehouse. The station is equipped with a crushing complex. If necessary, it is provided for the movement of coal along the bypass chute without crushing.
For warehouse mechanization of open coal storages, in combination with a transport and conveyor system, combined machines are used — stacker-reclaimers with a capacity of up to 6000 t/h, for the formation and dismantling of stacks.
At positive air temperatures, to combat dust, the coal stacks are sprinkled with water.
Combined bridge stacker-reclaimers are used for receiving and shipping coal from the warehouse.
The transport conveyor system transports coal between the main technological objects of the TPK, providing cargo reloading according to the given technological options. The technical capacity of the warehouse and quay conveyors is 6000 t / h.
The main conveyors along the entire length are equipped with a hemispherical shelter to guarantee the elimination of dust formation in the air in windy weather and possible shaking of the belt on uneven sections of the conveyor track while moving.
The shiploader is a gantry-type steel structure moving along rails along the berth. The boom of the shiploader is equipped with a special telescopic chute with a dust suppression nozzle and a swivel chute for loading below-deck spaces to reduce dust when loading the ship.
The place for transferring cargo from the drum of the loop-belt loader to the conveyor of the ship loader’s boom is covered with a casing and equipped with aspiration.

• Productivity: 2 * 25 wagons per hour
• Lifting capacity: 2 * 93t
• 2 car dumpers, 2 wagons each
Before the van tipper, the cars pass through the car defroster.Infrared electric radiators heat the metal walls of the carriage. Film thawing occurs. On the railway tracks of the unloading station, the front car is captured by the positioner, and the train moves to the tandem rotary car dumper.
Then two cars are uncoupled and fed by the second positioner into the car dumper rotor. The use of two positioners makes it possible to increase the efficiency of the car dumper.
In the underground part, under the car dumper, there are bunkers into which coal is poured. In the event of freezing of coal, or if the fraction of coal arriving in the gondola cars exceeds the permissible size, it is planned to crush the coal by crushing machines on the grates of the receiving hopper. From the hopper, the coal falls onto the scraper feeders and is evenly fed to the belt conveyor.
The car unloading station is equipped with aspiration systems for removing dust and irrigation systems with fine-dispersion water jets (fog effect), which capture dust particles and settle them.
